The book as about Solomon and he is a black free man who get’s tricked and sold as a slave to white men. Through 12 years as a slave and several bosses Mr. Solomon get’s to know the life as a slave. The pain the hunger and dreams about the feeling of being a free man. One day two men comes and ask “who is Solomon?” and Solomon is a free man and he returns to his wife and daughter.
When I first saw the book and read the title I wasn’t sure that I would going to like the book or not. The title itself sounded good but I wasn’t sure that I would find interest in the book or it was something for me. But as I read the book and read the Solomon story I found the book pretty good and interesting. The more I read the book and the story of Solomon the more I liked it and I just wanted to read and read and know the full story.
The story itself didn’t get me to guess what the next was going to be cause it sort of pointed out what the next thing in the story would be and it wasn’t a bad thing cause I just wanted to read more but it was a bit confusing to keep track of where you were in the story and who the characters was and who said that and who did that and so on.
