He when travels to Washington where he is going to meet some “business men” these “business men” puts something in his drink so he passes out. They take him in hostage and keep him in a prisoner’s cell far away from the city. It is him and some other black people. They are being sailed to the market there people can buy them for a fair amount of money. Then he gets bought buy a farmer, so he can work on his farm. Usually these farmers are evil, treat the slaves badly, but this farmer respect Soloman, and treat him like an equal man. However, Soloman ends up in a fight with one of the workers on the farm. And because the farmer likes Soloman he sells him for safety reasons so he won’t get beat up every time the worker sees him. |
