Analyse af Archie Wellers novelle 'Going Home'

Billy is a black-skinned man, who lives in a white lifestyle, he is a professional football player and a painter. He is living the good life, but he came from the countryside where the poor aboriginals people lives. He left his family and friends, started in college in Perth, and become famous and wealthy. He lives with the white people who are self-righteous and they believe that they are better than the aboriginals are and even though Billy comes from the aboriginals, he does consider himself better than his people.One day he saw some aboriginal boys playing football, he was reminded of home with all its carefree joy. So know he was going home. When he comes home his brother, Carlton, and his cousin, Rennie, makes him feel home and are polity to wards him, however his mother is harsh and just staring at him. Carlton and Rennie drives to a store and gets alcohol and they bought a watch to Billy. Carlton and Rennie had not bought the alcohol and the watch they had stolen it and the after Billy came home the police came and arrested Billy and Carlton. The police did not believe Billy then he says he was not with Carlton and he had eyewitnesses, but because he was black they did not believe him, so know he was being treated like he had usually treated the black people.
