You are awesome; you went on a 3-month surf trip, and came home as a billionaire. Even though you had failed with 2 companies already. It is awesome that a person like you, who had only failed, gets a simple idea and turns it into a billion dollar business.
You are my biggest idol, because you didn’t let your failures bring you down, but instead
Took a little time off and got the best idea of all time, then turned it into a successful business. If I ever get as good an idea as you got, I will do anything to fulfill it. I want to be like you, an entrepreneur.
I think it was you, who once said,
“When I got out of college, I gave myself till I was 30 to invent a product. If I couldn't do it by then, I would just get a real job. And that fear - the fear of a real job - motivated me to be an entrepreneur.”
“Dedicating myself to actually following through was my single biggest achievement.”
And my favorite quote from you is
“Fear drives you a lot harder than success does.”
This motivational speech, gave me the interest in pursuing my dreams of actually making a difference, and not to be like everybody else. There is one thing that I know, and that is, if I want to be an entrepreneur and make a difference, I can’t stand around and wait for help, but I have to look in the mirror, I m the only one who can help “me”. I have to make a commitment to that person in the mirror, a commitment to keep on going no matter what.
