I’ve watched the film “The Green Mile”. The movie is about a prison. However, it’s a special block in the prison, it’s the execution block. The boss is Paul Edgecomb, and then there is his employers. Brutus “Brutal” Howell, Percy Wetmore, Dean Santon and Harry Terwilliger. Paul Edgecomb also have a boss, the headmaster of the prison, Warden Hal Moores. He is also one of Paul’s best friends. Warden’s wife is very sick she got. Nevertheless, a prisoner called John Coffey got a mysterious gift, and is able to heal Warden’s wife. John Coffey is charged for a double child-murder and rape. However, he’s not guilty. The guilty man is called Wild Bill. But in the end John Coffey heals Warden’s wife and gets executed, although Paul became quite good friends with the prisoner.
Character analysis
Paul Edgecomb: Paul Edgecomb, also known as the boss of the green mile. Is a very sympathetic man, he’s very calm. He does his job very well, although he doesn’t like the executions. For some reasons it feels like he gets to be friends with the prisoners, before they are executed. If they’re not act up like rats. He’s a very good and understanding person, and wants the best for everybody.
