Hello my name is [NAVN B]. If I were to nominate a person I know to take part in the Danish Torch Relay, I would nominate my mother [NAVN A]. Cause a mother is every daughter’s biggest inspiration a mother has you in the stomach for 9 months and then gives birth to you and takes care of you till your ready to stand on your own feet.
My mother had a though life in Addis Ababa, her family didn’t have so much money and my mom was a troubled kid who got herself into fights and all sorts of things. Her mother (My grandmother) got divorced with my moms dad (My grandfather) in a young age, so her mother left them and when to stay with my mom’s aunt.
So my grandmother had left my mother and her 11 siblings with my grandfather who was really ill. My mother and some of her bigger siblings had to step up and take care of making food, cleaning, taking care of their father and all sorts of things.
The 12 September 1974 a civil war started in Ethiopia and a lot of people flied from Addis Ababa, my mom was one of them. She ended up in Denmark and first she got in prison for a day because they thought she came to Denmark for all the wrong purposes. Then they let her go and sent her to a asylum center were there were other fugitives from Ethiopia, and there my mother met my dad and they fell in love.
