The story is about a family, a family that is controlled by the father, and then there is the mother, 3 sons and 2 daughters, one of the sons has moved out. In the movie we watch a lot of moments in their life, in their eyes a normal life but I didn’t really think it was that normal.
One of the first persons we see in the movie is Jake, he is big and strong, and we see that because he’s in the gym, then we see their house where he tells his wife that he got a new job, and that’s where the movie begins because that sends us a signal that shows that he doesn’t have the same job all the time.
Jake is the father of the family, we see that already after a few minutes into the movie where we see him just kissing his wife and force her to “do something” (sexual), and is later proven that he is the head of the family.
Nig who is the oldest son is joining this gang of mobsters, is taken in to this gang by proofing some stuff, first of all he’s getting a tattoo for a life time but also gets beaten up for joining this clan, and that’s just shows us how much he wanted to leave the family because he knows shits going on back home.
