Joel Davis, a 19-year-old from London, started a tutoring service with homework help. More than 170 children are getting the benefit of help with their homework whenever they need. The teachers of this service are university students who teach children who don’t have the money to buy personal lessons with professors. There has been an impressive improvement by the children receiving this service. Not only have they been archiving higher grades but they have also evolved a bigger interest in their schoolwork.
Joel Davis was nominated for the young people of the year award for his tutoring idea. In sharp competition with five other fellow youngsters, Joel Davis won the award. The smiling Joel Davis is an inspiring young man who’s now considered a role model.
In an interview with the young genius, Joel Davis told us where his idea came from and where he plans it to go for the future.
“I was definitely falling behind. I saw all my fellow students passing me on high-speed as I was riding a turtle when it came to reading. The words just jumped around and wouldn’t fall into their right places. Not only did I struggle with my reading skills but neither did I have the time to improve. I was taking care of my mother who was sick. It’s not that I blame my mother for being sick or anything. I’m actually not blaming anyone. I’m just saying it was difficult to find the right time and the money. It’s expensive to get extra lessons by professors,” Joel Davis said when he was interviewed on the basis of the inspiration for the service.
