The inspiring young man Joel Davis has been nominated to the 2014 Young People Of The Year Award. Joel Davis is from a small town named Islington in London. He was born the in the year 1995, comes from poor family, and struggled with the reading in school. While in school, he did not get any help.

The 42-year-old single mother have invited us to their home, so we could get to interview the young man. What the boy had to say was -

“I had called for help many times, but to the wrong people. One day I asked a new teacher on the school. He was the youngest teacher there, so he had the energy to teach me well. Slowly I started to understand it.

The mother also had some things to say - “He has always wanted to help with the thing he could. I have been sick for a couple of years now, and he has been there for me evertime.”

Joel Davis wanted then to help other kids who needed help. Therefore, he set up a website for his vision to spread. Soon parents found the

site and contacted Joel Davis on his email account. First time he had a visitor it was a boy. The boy explained why he needed help. The boy came from a poor family. He also had a single mom who was struggling with the language, so she could not help him. The boy didn’t have good grades. Time past and Joel had three lessens with the boy. Joel Davis said - “when he came for the fourth lesson he and his mother was so happy. The boy’s grade had gotten from an B- to an A.”
