This article pretty obviously focusses on the way that Chinese mothers raise their children to be the best. The text is written by Amy Chua Jan. 8. 2011.

Amy Chua is Chinese herself, and a mother herself, the meaning by this text was for herself to tell the world how Chinese mothers raised their kids. Getting all of the nonsense out of the world and showing what Chinese mothers were all about. Showing how Chinese mothers work to make their kids successful, even though it isn’t always what their kids want.

As I wrote earlier, the intension by this text is to show why Chinese mothers get more successful kids.

A mother like Amy Chua, wants to show the world how she and other Chinese mothers are superior to mothers from the rest of the world, when it comes to creating success for their children.

Amy Chua talks directly to the reader not by writing in third person, but by writing in first person.

Example: “I'm using the term "Chinese mother" loosely.”

As a Chinese mother, she also makes awareness of knowing that other people around the world see Chinese mothers as strict and hard when it comes to perfection in every step. She supports the theory of Chinese mothers being stricter with a list summarizing what her children weren’t allowed to do. For an example Amy Chua´s children aren’t allowed to attempt a sleepover, have a play date, be in a school play or complain about not being in a school play.
