why did I choose this topic?
I chose this topic because, since we began to talk about South Africa in school, I have had a personal interest in apartheid, and I was fascinated by the way Nelson Mandela could change apartheid. I also chose it, because it was the most exciting topic I could find.
what is apartheid
apartheid is a Dutch word for "living apart. Apartheid was a political and social system in South Africa while it was under the white control. This was in use from 1948 to 1994. Racial segregation had been used for many years but the new laws started in 1948 was stricter and more systematic.
black and white people couldn't be together, the races were forced to live apart from each other.
