The Blacks had no influence in 1910, while Whites could be elected to parliament, and before long, several laws were passed that were to make life for the Blacks very difficult. Many Blacks felt that the time had come for them to do something, because it was so unfair for them. In 1912 they formed the South African Native National Congress, and later, it became The African National Congress (the ANC), but in 1913 the Natives Land Act was passed.
