I know this letter will be censured but I will write it anyway. I need to tell how I feel to somebody. Now I have been here for 6 very long months and it looks like the worst jail I have ever seen. It is gray and sad everyday but mostly today, because Nelson Mandela's son has just died. We all have just heard it so we are all very upset. The prison guards and news paper says that he died in a car accident. We all don´t believe that it was a car accident, we think it was planed and he was murdered. When a prisoner loses a family member he gets two days free from work. I haven´t met the great Mandela jet, I have heard many rumours about him, which all are saying that he is a nice and calm, but also a funny and serious person. But I have seen him when we were working. We have to do a stone work and it is very hard, exhausting and boring.
In the cell next to me there is a man I am talking a lot to, he is a very good man, very funny and we have some good discussions. We also talk a lot about apartheid, about ANC and how it would be if white and coloured people could live together in a multicultural country. I don´t understand, that just because we are black we are less valuable, it is just a colour. But I don´t regret anything I've done, I take my punishment like a man and when I will be out again, I will still fight for our right! and say to all our friends that this is a case it is worth to fight for.
