One of My Best Friends is a story about the narrator and a guy named Willy. Willy is an aboriginal boy/man from Australia. The narrator is a normal white man/boy from Australia. The story starts when both of them are very young. The narrator is moving from town to town with his family, and the reason for that is, that his father works for the police, and is being moved around a lot. Well, he is being bullied at every school he goes to, because he is the “new kid”. And at one school, he meets Willy. Willy and the narrator becomes friends for some time, before they are headed each way in different directions. At the end, they meet again at a game of football. The narrator is playing on the white men team, and Willy is playing for the black men team. The abo’s is really brutal, and at some point, the narrator gets enough and it starts a fight. Willy and the narrator hits each other in the head some times before they recognize each other. The story ends with Willy punching the narrator in the face, and he looks back at it.
