Susan Cheever’s essay My Little Bit of Country evolves (hatred) around her odium towards life in the country. As her parents and their friends dream of moving away from the city, she longs to stay. As a young adult, she is driven by her admire (admiration) of the city to take every opportunity to leave the country.
The essay is divided in two halves, at first Cheever is telling us about her childhood with all her beloved memories of Central Park before moving to the country. The final part of her essay concerns her adult life in Manhattan. Here she has moved back to the city, found herself a husband and got (had) two children of her own.

Susan Cheever grew up in the city with Central Park and Central Park Zoo as her only connections with nature, so when her parents force her to move to the country, she is not pleased. She (only) enjoys to only have (having) little contact with the nature and appreciate(s) being close to the city, just like the American artist Andy Warhol says in the quote above.
