I checked the sky for signs of rain and set off early to make the most of the day. I had packed my bag with a few necessities – a bite to eat, bottle of water and heaps of curiosity about what the day would bring. I stepped out the door and went to the elevator. I looked at the numbers and chose the number 0. The elevator shook in a weird way and the annoying background music kept playing. It said a sound when it stopped. I walked down the streets of the city and looked at the people and the vehicles that drove by every day. There’s the truck that delivers ice to the hotels down the street and the taxies and the millions of cars. I began walking. The day was really hot and I was already sweating. I took a sip of the water. It tasted weird just like normal New York water. In my bag, I also brought some money to buy a china box in Qeuing Ching’s food shop. I walked directly to the food shop and bought the china box with curry and gave the man 10$. I began walked to the museum I was going to. It was Smithsonian - National Museum of the American Indian. I was very interested in that. I looked at the people in streets. A man was eating a hot dog in a disgusting way and a woman walked the streets with an umbrella even though it didn’t rain. An Asian man looked at me like I was a rat. I looked at a man staring into nothing. He was breathing loudly, so I could hear it even though I was like 10 metres away from him. He made big eyes but still looked tired. He grabbed his chest, and he made a huge inhalation and fell to the ground. The people around him moved away. They kept walking. I ran to him and yelled at him. His head was spinning. He gasped for air. I made the woman with the umbrella call 911. I started CPR. The time went slow. It almost stopped. It was like I was giving CPR to a man in slow-motion. I couldn’t hear anything. I kept helping.
