Zero Zero is one of the characters in the book holes. Zero gets called zero through the whole book. He has been called zero for most of his life. But his real name I Hector Zeroni. His mother abandoned him when he was still very little, and he has been homeless for most of his life. Zero didn?t get much education so he can?t read or write. Zero knows that he is smart and he can stand up for himself when it is needed, despite all the adversity he has faced. He is in the beginning presented as a strange character because he always walks around with a ?scowl? on his face and rarely speaks.
