Today gossip can be seen everywhere and every day. In television, on the internet, in the radio and of course in the magazines which without doubt is the most gossip-producing kind. Gossip stories are never good thing, because people often get physically, mentally or emotionally hurt by it, and the victims can never do anything about it. But although gossip is a bad thing, people love it, and therefore it will always exists.
Gossip, is a story that often isn’t true. Maybe it is true in the beginning, but then more and more people hear it and tell it on so it gets wilder and more untrue. Like the Danish story about a chicken run, where a chicken tell another chicken a little thing. Then another chicken hear what they are talking about, and tell it to another chicken. Which then tell it to another chicken. Which then tell it to another chicken too. And at least a small insignificant thing is being a great important thing.
Everybody can start gossip. All from a normal person to a big magazine that prints their stuff in many countries. Many magazines live only by writing rumors and gossip, but how can a big magazine sell only by writing stories that isn’t true? Because people like it, many love to hear about all the rich and famous people, so they buy the magazines. There are many stories to choose among, so the magazine needs to have the biggest and most interesting story to tell, and then some magazines make up gossip about a famous person just to sell their magazines. In the most cases it isn’t good things they write, it’s bad stuff, cause that what people want to hear. A person that the gossip has hit hard is the singer Michael Jackson. There is stories like he is sleeping with small kids and monkeys, and when the rumor is first started they are very hard to stop. Gossip like that against Michael has for example made his record sale fall with many millions CD’s, because who want to support a person who abuse small kids? And it got to be true when it’s mention in the magazines, or does it?
