I am nobody, but I can still hurt everyone. I’m a story about someone, and I’m told behind peoples back regardless of who it might affect. That’s the definition of gossip.
Gossip is a part of our everyday, we have been there and done it. There is always a little gossip monster inside us wanting to bring out something dirty and bad about someone else. If you got a story to tell, you get attention and that is probably why most people do it, to get attention or there might just be people who do it for the hell of it.
Gossip can ruin a person’s life just like that, maybe it’s a rumor that a girl had a relationship with her boss, or maybe someone starts a rumor about a person who lost a lot of money. It can be so many different things, but just the rumor can be enough for someone to lose a job or split up a couple. But how come no one is better than that? Why do we tend to gossip so much when we know which consequences it might have?
One of the most significant inventions in newer time is the internet. One of it´s purposes is to connect people across the world, but in the last few years this advantage has been abused. The internet has gone from something new, inspiring, and good to a place where someone make innocent people very sad and make them suffer for something they might not have done, all for their own enjoyment. The victims are powerless because the man behind has no regard for justice and aim for the heart.
