Poverty in the US
The cycle of poverty
For most kids living in poverty, they are being raised with very poor parents or adults or they
have no parents at all and are what you call an orphan. They have no adults to help them and must take care of themselve and sometimes also their sisters and brothers. When poor children get to work at an early age, they sometimes don’t have time or money to go to school. Without an education they can’t get a well-paid job and must keep living for a very small amount of money every day. Then the bad cycle of poverty begins, because then their children are living under poverty too, can’t get an education and the bad cycle keeps going.
Consequences
The consequences for children living in poverty are that they have the lack of education access. That means they can’t go to middle school, learn new languages, learn math’s and then they can’t get a education when they get older. They are also more lilely to experience illness due to unsafe water and bad sanitation. Their healt are in general very bad and they can’t get the medical help they need and deserve.
