Poverty is a big topic, but poverty is also a big conception. There exist many different definitions on poverty, but the final definition is the one who FN has made to have something concrete to follow. There exist two concepts within poverty: Absolute poverty and Relative poverty.
Absolute poverty
Absolute poverty is, when your income is so low that you can’t meet the most basic needs as shelter, clean water and food.
Relative poverty
Relative poverty isn’t a specific definition. Relative poverty is a concept that comes to one’s material resources as the economy, and no on non-material resources such as education and social relationships. It’s about whether one is below an acceptable standard of living in contemporary society. The Question is which quantity of resources a person must have to be below the threshold, that individuals and families start to become disconnected from society with regard to education, work and influence on political life. One can go from middle class to relative poverty. It doesn’t happen all of a sudden, you have to lose profits to contribute to society in more than a few months. The surplus may be what makes you seek work again, get an education or care of her children in a safe manner.
