Into the Wild Inspirers adventurers – but at what cost?
What is the difference of ordering someone to stop and warning them? Is it our place to tell someone what they can or can not do? Is it in our hands to stop someone when we know the danger of the situation?
The article “Into the Wild Inspirers adventurers – but at what cost?” builds on making an influence and warning people of the danger in following the footsteps of Chris McCandless, on page one line 11-12, described as “It is a challenge quietly taken up by hundreds around the world, all of them headed to Alaska, chasing a dream written down in the pages of a best-seller”.
In the article the author Neal Karlinsky built awareness to the people. He tells the story of McCandless from different perspectives and gives the readers a deeper feeling of the hurt and pain the adventure of C.M has caused to several people.
Since the book about Cristopher McCandless came out there have been several people following in his footsteps. “The magic bus” has been at major inspiration to many people, making them to go travel to Alaska to visit the bus. But at what cost?
