Apartheid in South Africa Apartheid was a system used to legally segregate different kind of humans - such as separating blacks from whites. Today theres no problems at all with racism in South Africa, at least not on the same level as back in 1948. At that time people were divided into different racial groups. Blacks, whites, colored and asians were forcibly separated from each other and some groups gained more rights than others. For an example, the whites were the dominant ones.
