The parents are very selfish, and they only think about their needs and not what Charles want. They are differently not close. They do what is ordinary and they are not thinking what is best for Charles, because they never hear his opinion - because it actually doesn’t matter.

The headmaster’s wife Margaret Spokes was very friendly and polite and she gave a good first impression. She took Charles to a common room, so he could meet some of the boys who already was attended to the school. When Charles was alone with the other boys and all their many questions. Charles was shy, so he was very nervous. He was unconfutable and started to panic - he couldn’t hear or say a thing.
