A clone is an Identical copy or replication of a thing

The idea of cloning has existed for a long time now, but it wasn’t until 1885 that humans began to experiment with the thought.

There are three types of cloning. Gene cloning, reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning. Gene cloning produces copies of genes or segments of DNA. Reproductive cloning produces copies of whole animals. I’m going to be mainly focusing on therapeutic cloning. Therapeutic cloning is basically, the nucleus of a somatic cell being removed from a donor subject and is inserted into an egg from which the nucleus has been removed.

There are so many benefits of therapeutic cloning, like for example destroying the need for organ transplants from other people. Right now, there are over 100’s of thousands of people that are on waiting lists for organ transplants.
