Summary of the video clip ‘Embryonic stem cells: Advance in medical human cloning’.
This little video clip describes a problem about cloning. Using the human egg cells as a replacement for therapeutic cloning.
The video ‘Embryonic stem cells: Advance in medical human cloning’ is published by James Gallagher on BBC News, 15 May 2013. This video starts by making an introduction to what an egg cell can become if we are removing the genetic in the cell and replace it by the genetic of skin cell. The embryo that now is created is at a stage where it’s at stem cell and can be grown in a laboratory. Dr. Lyle Armstrong from Newcastle University has tried to make these stem cells but was unsuccessful. If the stem cells have been successful they could be able to cure incurable diseases as diabetes, Alzheimer etc. The stem cell can be made to any other cell in the adult body.
In the case about human cloning most countries have strict laws about what you are allowed to do, and clone another human is not allowed. Dr. Lyle Armstrong is against the human cloning because researches on animals have shown that there can bee complications ass deformed children.
