There are different kinds of cloning. First there is the cells in our boudies, which is a clone of just one cell (the fertilised eeg, we originally came from).
Then there are the identical twins, because they are formed when a single embryo splits into two. The way plants can reproduce itself, is also a way of cloning. Then there is the way of cloning, where they are produced in the laboratories. It’s called ‘Molecular cloning’- and it is when you’re producing more genetic material from an original stretch of DNA. Last but not least, there is the ‘Nuclear transfer’, and that is a technique used to produce a clone from an adult cell (the way ‘Dolly’ the sheep was made).
Today, when someone talks about cloning, most people would think of a clone made in a laboratory. But with this, you could say that cloning is the way of making a genetically identical organsim through nonsexual means (without sex).
