Couchsurfing i London: Kulturelle observationer

I am now on my way home from my lovely trip to London. I tried this new concept called “Couchsurfing”. Couchsurfing is a new concept in England. CouchSurfing is a holiday accommodation service. Instead of staying at a hotel, you can stay with a local family. The accommodation is free, but all you must do is to spend some time with the family you are staying with. I think it is a very good way to save some money and get to know new people.

On my holiday, I visited a family in the northern part of London. The family included a Mom, Dad, Son, and their dog. They lived in a big house (almost a mansion) in London, and they were very kind. When I arrived, I felt very inappropriate because they lived in a big and very luxurious house, and I looked like a poor bum compared to them. Because of their big house, and luxurious thing, I thought they were arrogant and cocky. Fortunately, they were the opposite. The family was the most generous and kind family I have ever met! Luckily my biases were wrong, and that was the first thing I learned on that trip. “do not judge a book by its cover”
