I have chosen the topic USA black and white as the topic I want to talk about. I have chosen this topic because it is interesting but also because there is so much history in this topic. I have also chosen it because it is important to know about this topic both the past and the present.

The incident:

Parks boarded the Cleveland Avenue bus, Thursday, December 1, 1955, in downtown Montgomery. She paid for her ticket and sat in an empty seat in the first row of seats reserved for blacks. As the bus traveled along its route, all of the white-only seats in the bus filled up. The bus reached a stop, and several white passengers boarded. The driver noticed that three white passengers were without a seat. He moved the "colored" section and demanded that four black people would give up their seats for the white passengers. Parks moved, toward the window seat; instead of moving to the moved colored section. When Parks refused to give up her seat, a police officer arrested her. She later said, "I only knew that, as I was being arrested, that this was the very last time that I would ever ride in humiliation of this kind. ... "
