Introduction: In this speech, i will go in depth with the “I have a dream speech” Where in i will explain, why it was as important as it was at the time, and how and why this speech was necessary. This will be a short essay of when, where, why and how. The speech will hopefully present problems about what is happening, what needs to be ended and last but not least, what needs to be done.
In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous i have a dream speech in Washington dc. The speech was given during the march of Washington, to the supporters of the civil rights movement. It was given as the “main speech” of the movement.
The speech was focused on racial discrimination and equality to all races. He meant for people not to be judged by their colour, but to be judged by their actions. He had a dream, that one day, all races would be equal, and no one would be judged by the colour of one person's skin, that sons of slaves one day, the sons of slave owners, one day would be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. He had a dream that, down in alabama, that white girls and black girls, would be able to hold hands, as sisters.
