A Ghost Encounter at Edinburgh Castle

I hope things are going well back home, and that you have had a great summer.

As you know my family and I have been to Edinburgh, Scotland, to visit Edinburgh Castle, which is said to be Europe’s most haunted place.

There have been reports of many strange things like, sudden temperature dives, strange fog, strange light and the feeling of fear, and the last mentioned I have experienced on my own body. Already the first day, when we arrived after a very long trip, there was something scary about the place. It became very dark and it began to rain and thunder almost immediately after we pulled up to the castle.

We went into the reception and got the keys to our rooms handed out. When we got up to the rooms, to unpack our things, it seemed cold and clammy, and the rooms were very dark and creepy. It was getting dark and we were ready to head to bed, when I heard a strange noise from the hallway.
