You may have heard about the Young Hero Award; it is an event. The Young Heroes Award is about juveniles who have taken action to make positive social change in their schools or communities, or people who have attained the extraordinary. Each year they look for new winning candidates, candidates who have fought for liberty to create activities that could possibly make a worthwhile social change or people who achieved something huge.
Last year winner is Abby, Abby is only 13 years old from Nottingham in England. Abby raised over 2.000 euros for cancer research only by making and selling her own cup-cakes. Imagine that one cupcake is 2 euros, then to achieve 2.000 euros, she would have to sell 1.000 cup-cakes which is incredible. In that case the winning award is most definitely deserved. I was curious on why she chose to donate 2.000 euros to cancer research, so I reached out to her.
When Abby was around 12 years old, something happened that no one wants to occurrence happened, her mom got diagnosed with breast cancer, and it was indeed harmful, she was later hospitalized with the life threatening diagnose, hoping the hospital had the resources to make her healthy and in good physical condition. Later when Abby had turned 13 her mom passed away, which was dreadful.
