It is important to have role models in our lives, and it is more important to have successful role models, since they affect what we do and how we ultimately turn out. Good role models affect our actions, inspire us to continue and reveal our true potential, and resolve our vulnerability.
We should also carefully focus on selecting role models with good morals and an upright character. They might have their weaknesses (who does not?) Nevertheless, despite of their flaws, they should be admirable. This will encourage us to see if a weakness can be fixed or easily turned into a strength, and not allow shortcomings to pull us down from being the best version of ourselves.
One of the most influential role models of our society is Malala Yousafzai. She is one of the most famous role models of our time. She was born in a small village, where it was uncommon for girls to go to school.
She was kicked out of school at just 11 years old when an Islamist military group, seized possession of her village. She was shot in the head at 15 years of age after speaking out for gender equality and the right to read. Most individuals may have given up at this stage, but not Malala. She kept battling and founded her own organization called the Malala Fund.
