In September 2014 actress and women's rights advocate Emma Watson gave a speech at a special event for the HeForShe campaign at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. In the speech Emma Watson talks about the problems that find place all around the world right now and how it concerns her. She did perform it at an event; accordingly, it has been all around the media.

Emma Watson uses simple language, but she says it in a serious way, that way the speech seems more real. In addiction Watson then inspire everyone to donate to the big problem, if possibly. Through her powerful use of pathos, Watson can make a strong and deeply touching speech to the audience such as” When I was 8, I was confused for being called bossy because I wanted to direct the plays that we would put on for our parents, but the boys were not. When at 14, I started to be sexualized by certain elements of the media. When at 15, my girlfriends started dropping out of sports teams because they didn’t want to appear muscly. When at 18, my male friends were unable to express their feelings.” (ll.12-16)
