One of the most recent movies, I’ve seen is the ”American Wedding”. It is an American comedy from 2003, and is the third movie in a trilogy. As in the two movies before it, “American Pie” and “American Pie 2”, we follow the lives of 4 American teens, who just can’t seem to keep out of trouble. Some more than others, but one thing is certain – sooner or later, they all mess up.
The main character of the movie is of course the geeky Jim (Jason Biggs). Unlike his friends, Jim thinks, that it’s time to quit the foolishness and grow up. He decides therefore to propose to his beloved girlfriend Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). During the proposal, which takes place in an exceptionally glamorous restaurant, Jim discovers that he has forgotten the ring back home. But as always, he can rely on his father, who constantly seems to be there for the rescue. He rushes down to the restaurant with the ring, but by the time he gets there, Michelle is giving Jim a blowjob underneath the table, which is caused by a misunderstanding about the ring.
A wedding has to be planned, and there’s a lot to think of. Michelle’s parents arrive to meet Jim’s parents. This makes Jim very nervous, and it doesn’t exactly ease the situation, when Jim’s old friend from school, Steve Stifler (Seann William Scott), arrives to pay his friend a visit. Stifler doesn’t have a clue about the wedding, and Jim’s other two friends, Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Finch (Eddie Kay Thomas), intend on keeping it that way. Stifler finds out about the wedding and hell brakes loos. He ruins the cake, and both Jim’s and Michelle’s parents walk in on them in some positions, which would make anyone think that they’re dog-rapists. Jim promises Michelle’s parents, that he’ll explain them the whole incident later.
