Skating is actually a term for skateboarding. Skateboarding is a kind sport where you ride around and performing tricks using a skateboard. It all started in the early 1950’s in California. Where there was a man who invented the skateboard which at that time was called sidewalk surfing/asphalt surfing.

Well skateboarding is actually very dangerous and in 2017 there is an estimated 50.000 emergency depart, skateboard related injuries and about 1.500 hospitalizations in the US alone. The injured common age is 13-24 years old, and some of these young people get their whole life through away on a single skateboard crash.

Well the things that these skaters do to cause such damages can be anything from a rock laying on the road to 20-meter jumps on mega ramps. But a lot of these accidents are caused because of traffic. Skaters can quick lose their control over the board either from failing an ollie (a jump) to driving over a small rock and fall straight onto the road where there are highspeed cars.
