The end of the world is near, we are killing the future

How does your buying behavior have an impact on the future generations, when buying products from big companies that do not produce sustainable products?

Is our perception of sustainability different today than it was in the past, and do we define sustainability differently today? Is it fair that there is a big focus on private persons polluting in nature, when the bigger problems maybe are that the big factories are polluting the most?

How can one individual have a bigger impact on saving the earth, than the companies. If the companies changed their production to be more sustainable, it would be easier and faster to see how the earth's health would improve. Therefore, there is a need for a solution.

Today more people think that it is the companies who need to change their materials and they must recycle more products. It can be argued that our perception of sustainability has changed as it used to be a focus on people's preoccupation, whereas today there is more focus on the recyclability of business. Large corporations could implement more restrictions regarding how many carbon emissions they pollute the world with. This could be the first step in making the general population feel like their sacrifices regarding the environment matters. The statistics also show that 45% of the people who participated felt like their actions might make a difference which should not be the case. More people should feel like their contribution makes an actual difference.
