First and foremost, thank you all for taking the time out of your day to come and listen to me talk about a quite central subject today.
My name is [NAVN A], I am a student here at The London School of Economics, and I study at the department of Media and Communication. Today we are going to be talking about social responsibility, and a bit about social media.
We all love social media. We are all on at least one social media platform. We use it to communicate with our friends, se what people are up to, look at they’re my storys etc. Some of us might not notice or even care about companies’ social media presence, but it is there. Today I am going to be talking about companies and their marketing on social media. I will also tell you guys about a campaign called “Stop Hate for Profit”, and what the campaign is about.
Now, does companies use social media to get their products out to us consumers? Most definitely. The reason they use social media platforms to advertise their products is super simple. There are millions and millions of people using social media, therefor it is the easiest way to get costumers. The problem is just that social media platforms such as Facebook, have seen an increase in hateful post towards race, religion, individual people etc.
