“Green is the new black” is it said in Britain. The world is finally beginning to realise that all actions have their consequences, and therefore we are moving towards a more ethical lifestyle. I want to look nearer to the causes of the environmental pollutions. How does the industrial effect the environment and is it for the good or bad? If it is for the bad, then should the government be held more accountable, or who should take the responsibility?

After the WWII the mass production of things really started and new, smartly machines were launched. But nobody thought of these machines might hurt the environment. It was not until somebody, in the late sixties, mentioned that there might was a continued problem. Until now we have tried to fight the problems and explained that ecological is fantastic and it has a really good effect on the nature. In 2006 British shoppers was set to spend £2 billion on ethical food, and that is 62 % more since 2002. Ethical food is made under supervised conditions. The farmers get a good wage and their working conditions are healthy. Almost three in five adults (56 %) believe that ‘we are all responsible for what we choose to buy’. If we want to make better conditions and minimize the bad consequences, we must become aware of what we buy.
