Gilmore Girls is a seven-season series created by Amy Sheerman-Palladino, starring Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore. The show was introduced in October 2000 and the last episode aired in May 2007. The series is a Comedy-drama television series and takes place in a small town filled with colorful characters, called Stars Hollow located in Connecticut. The series has two main characters: The mother and daughter, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Lorelai is in her early 30’s in the first season and is a mother who loves her daughter unconditionally, runs her own inn and is filled with witty comments, and a deep love for pop-culture and coffee. Rory, like her mother, also has a deep love for coffee and is rather independent and driven. She loves to study and spends hours reading advanced books, while she also loves music and has an impressive collection of music and books.

You watch them grow into independent willful women and how they both end up being very successful in life and all it brings. The main focus is the relationship between Lorelai as a young, single mother and her teenage daughter Rory.
