The movie The Proposal is about a guy named Andrew that works as an assistant for Margaret Tate who is an editor at New York publisher. Margaret is a hard-working woman, who likes to control people, and knows just how to fire them. One day, the government decides to deport Margaret, because she is originally from Canada. She refuses, and says she’s marrying her assistant, Andrew. He agrees on pretending to marry her, under the circumstances that he gets a promotion. Andrew and Margaret decides to go on a vacation together, and they go visit Andrew’s parents, that lives in Alaska. When they finally arrive, there’s a little party for them, at his parents house, where Andrew’s ex-girlfriend is too. His grandmother that is turning 90 a few days later, gets a heart-attack when she finds out, the marriage is fake.
