Black Lives Matter; from a Facebook post to an international movement
In 2013, three radical Black organizers named Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi, created a Black-centered political will and human rights movement building project called #BlackLivesMatter. It was in response to the assassination of Trayvon Martin, and the acquittal of the policeman George Zimmerman.

What is the #BlackLivesMatter movement
Black Lives Matter is an international human rights movement. The movement started in the afro American society in 2013. The movement is dedicated to fight racism and violence against black people by demonstrating and protesting. The movement is all about fighting for the rights of black people, so that they can live in peace, and so that their lives is just as respected as whites are.
Violence against black people
Violence against black people is especially seen in the form of police brutality. According to mappingpoliceviolence.org; 801 people has been killed by police in America in 2021, and the graph below shows that black people have 3 times bigger a chance of getting killed by police, than white people have.
