Poverty is something you often see in the world we live in now, the reasons why so many become poor is the increasing inflation, the prices of fuel, electricity etc. are only increasing at the moment. Many people therefore cannot afford to pay their rent and food so they to choose between a roof over your head or food in your stomach.

Even though England has the 5th largest economy, they have more than 1000 people living in poverty and it only gets worse. “Tens of thousands of families in the United Kingdom every year do not have enough food to live on and are turning to sources of non-state charitable aid”

Although England had the 5th largest economy, they do not have a welfare system like Denmark, for example, so there are many organizations that are organized by private individuals to help the people who are struggling the poverty.

Poverty is only increasing, due to the high inflation. This means that more and more people need help to survive. “Trussell Trust, has documented a 5,146 percent increase in emergency food parcels distributed between 2008 and 2018. In that decade this food bank network went from distributing just under 26,000 parcels a year to handing out more than 1.33 million of them” If you look at the statistics, you can see that the numbers are only increasing, going from 26,000 food parcels to 1.33 million is a huge problem.
