I’m a young entrepreneur and my passion is focusing on first world problems, like food waste.As I said, I’m from Denmark and we are the leading country in the food waste revolution. Even if the entire planet is only following any of the six simple measures we could start to avoid food waste.
Did you guys know that 1.3 billion tons of food are being wasted every year? Did you know that about a third of all food produced is wasted every year? 41 percent of all food waste goes to the bakery department? Did you say that if we all helped to reduce food waste and were recycled by 25%, then we will be able to feed all the undernourished people? Having "too much food" must all sound like a luxury problem, but here's another question for you. Do you know that 75 million people are suffering from starvation and malnutrition when all this food waste is going on? The fact that families, children, and the elderly die every day of malnutrition? Image if your brother and you were less than a meal away from death. If your parents had to choose who to feed them... Who should they save? These are the dilemmas for families on the other side of the world. Genuine dilemmas.
