Summer camp i Østrig: en personlig rejseberetning

I spend my summer of 2022 at summer camp. We spent a week there, and I met A LOT of new people.

We got split into little groups and that’s where I met jake. jake is from Australia, he told me all about how when its winter for us, its summer for them. That meant that Christmas for them meant barbequing and nice weather.

I found that weird.

The groups we got sorted into, were the people we did the activities with. The first day we went hiking in the mountains, it was hot outside, the sun was shining, and everybody was wearing a big smile on their face. While it was a little too hot for my taste, I really enjoyed the nature, huge trees, and small, fast running rivers. It was stunning, by far the prettiest place I’ve been. I do have a fear of heights, so it was definitely a scary experience. But the guide had done this at least a thousand times before and he assured me that I wasn’t going to fall. The view was absolutely beautiful from up there, I couldn’t help but notice the difference. Austria’s houses where close to each other, almost too close in my opinion.
