Min oplevelse på Youth Island

I picked Youth Island because I think it is interesting, and I think it could be funny to take some friends with me.

I joined Youth Island with 2 of my friends and we were excited, we just hope it will be great, and maybe get some new friends, and talk with people who comes from another country. There are 200 teenagers who has joined the Youth Island, and it will be great.

At youth island there are some workshops, outdoor activities, and creative activities. Me and my friends did the same things, we cooked over open fire and treasure hunts. It feels like it was a relaxing week at a camping spot, but a with more energy. My friend and I was going to the rap battle to hear it, but it wasn’t good, it was miserable.

At the afternoon took we a decision that we wanted to build a shelter, so we found one of the adults to ask if it was possible, and they said it was, so we started to find some wood we could use to the shelter. The next day was there 5 people who saw us making some of the shelter, and then they asked if they could help, and we said yes. The people who wanted to help us was from South Africa, and 2 of them was from India. We started talking much together at the week, and we were together at the afternoons, where we make a fireplace and sang some songs. We all think it was comfortable to sit down and just be us self. The next 2 days we all built at the shelter the day long, it was very hard, but if we didn’t work hard these 2 days, then the shelter wasn’t done yet. We all got a good bond to each other and could make fun to each other. It was relaxing to just be yourself, I did not use that much energy to not be myself. There were more and more people who wanted to help with the shelter, some of them was from Great Britain and from Australia.
