Niel Gaiman’s hit Coraline came out in 2002. It’s a novel that’s about 11-year-old Coraline that finds a door and comes into another world that she explores. Coraline becomes very brave and must accept the premise to save her parent, 3 dead children and herself from an evil lady that calls herself Coraline’s other mother. It’s about being independent and fight for what you love.
Coraline jones is a very sweet eleven years old curious and energetic girl. she loves adventures and she often feels bored and pushed aside with her parents and they refuse to play with her “Read a book,” said her mother. “Watch a video. Play with your toys. Go and pester Miss Spink or Miss Forcible, or the crazy old man upstairs.” “No,” said Coraline. “I don’t want to do those things. I want to explore.” “I don’t really mind what you do,” said Coraline’s mother, “as long as you don’t make a mess.” She feels very ignored, so when she feels bored, she explores everything in her new house. When she sleeps, she gets plenty of nightmares of rats with sharp yellow teeth that sings “We are small, but we are many, we are many we are small, we were here before you rose, We will be here when you fall”. She explores a door in the wall and walks into another world, where there is another mother and father. Her other mother is very thin and has long red fingernails and have buttons as eyes, and they show her attention which her real parents don’t. They are very sweet at first, but they keep getting more and more creepy, and Coraline finds out that the other mother is evil and traps children’s souls. Coraline becomes very brave and don’t fall for it. She must save her real parents, 3 dead trapped children souls and herself from the evil parents.
