The film is Yazoo in Mississippi. A Boy named Will, didn’t got friends on his own age. So his best friend was a elderly boy, who were very good at baseball and football. All the other kids admired the elderly boy named Dick Jinkins, because he were that good at sport.
Will is growing up in the middle of a war, and you see him from he is very young to he gets old, teenager.
Will’s mother took care of the “man work” in the house, and the father took care of the “woman work”. Will’s best friend Dick, went to war. And Will was crushed. Now he didn’t have any friends. He gets a dog in birthday gift from his mother, because she thinks that he should have a new best friend, who always will be there for Will. Will’s father will not let Will have the dog, because he do not think that he is old enough, and not responsible enough. But Will’s mother talks to the father, and Will can have the dog on a test, to see if he is old enough to have that big a responsibility. Will do god, and can keep the dog. The dog is now called Skipper. Will and Skip(short for skipper) got best friends.
