Spiderwick: filmresumé

There is a family of 4 that moves in to the Spiderwick house not knowing the secret within this old big house. The film is mainly focusing on one of the twin boys, Jared. He is known as the troublemaker no one really trusts him as they know that he lie’s a lot. The first night they stay inside the Spiderwick house Jared decides to explore this big house. He finds this small room and he starts to look around. He then finds a chest and he is curious to find out what’s inside it. He opens the chest and finds a book, the book has a note on it that says “Warning!” he ignores the note and opens the book. He then hears a noise and runs down stairs he gets in bed and starts to read it. He hears noises around him and gets scared so he decides to lock himself in to a chest right next to his bed. And starts to read it again, he then hears his sister scream so he gets out of the chest and him, his twin brother and his mother runs into the sisters room. They see that her hair is tied to her bed everyone blames Jared because he is known as a liar and troublemaker. So his mother yells at him and they go back to bed. Next day Jared goes back to the small room he found and puts some honey on the side of a table. He had found out that there was a small creature protecting the book and he liked honey, and of course Jared wanted to see this creature. So he sits back on a chair and just as he is about to fall asleep the small creature jumps out and gets the honey and they start talking. Later Jared walks outside the house while reading the book he found and he steps outside this magical force without knowing anything about this. Invisible Goblins then run after him but he can’t see them so he stands still and just as they are going to attack him he walks inside the magical force. The Goblins were after the book because it contained a lot of information about the other magical creatures. After a while Jared finally starts to understand the risk of having opened the book, because his brother has been captured by the Goblins. The goblins couldn’t tell the brothers apart because they didn’t know that they were twins. So the ask him a lot of questions as Jared is watching from a distance. They let his brother go and they run back to the house and ask the little hobbit (The small creature) for advice. The Hobbit then tells them all about the goblins and about the author “Arthur Spiderwick” They now all understand what the goblins wants. But they are in danger as long as the book is in their possession so they want it destroyed but they can’t do it themselves so the meet Arthurs daughter and ask her for her advice on how to destroy it. She says that the only one who can destroy it is her father (Arthur Spiderwick) but he’s dead. She thinks. They find out that he is still alive he’s 125 years old! But he is protected inside a magical island. They go to see him and they tell him what’s going on. He helps them get of the island after he has given them his advice. They then find out that the goblins has taken some pages out of the book while they were visiting Arthurs daughter. And they knew that they were going to attack that night. So they got ready and made potions to fight them. All 4 family members fight the goblins until every single one is dead Except their leader. They kill him and after 6 months Arthurs daughter return to the house and as soon as she enters the house her father appears followed by some magical creatures. The daughter hugs him and asks if she can come with him. She then steps into the magical creatures and she ages back until she looks like the little girl she was 70 years ago. They take of together and the film ends.
