Analyse af novellen 'Champagne Flight'

The text is about a sixteen years old girl, whose name we are not told. She wants to be older than she is. Her father, who is working in the services, has to move to Washington, and her mother has to do, too. She have to stay at because she have to finish her exams, because it’s in the middle of a term. One day she finally gets the plane ticket, so it is now she is going to say goodbye to Mrs. and Mr. Widness who had the people taken care of her. When the girl got on the plane and found her seat a flight attendant come, and ask if she would like some food and maybe have a drink. After a little time the girl meets an older woman called Serena Sinclair, who is celebrating something, but don’t tell exactly what, Just that it’s a new job in show business. While eating The woman is eating something, and she also puts something into their glasses of champagne. The girl suddenly fell asleep while talking whit Serena, properly because of the alcohol and the thing that Serena put into her glass. when she wakes up in, they are in Chicago and she find Serena in the first aid room, where we finds out that Serena is a stripper and not an actor like the girl thought.
